Greystar, an international real estate development company in the rental housing market, worked with HLG to redefine their workplace culture within their Atlanta office by promoting employee camaraderie to attract and retain talent. We designed an agile work environment with a sizable social hub and a variety of informal meeting areas that gave their employees choice of where to work, socialize and collaborate. Transparency was important to Greystar and influenced the decision to arrange private offices and conference rooms on the interior while the open office environment, social spaces and break out meeting areas were given access to natural light and created visual connection for their employees. Finishes were neutral in color but rich in texture and combined with the warmth of wood tones in flooring and millwork, we were able to create a fresh and sophisticated look and feel for their new space. This project was successful in meeting Greystar’s goals to promote a more rewarding employee experience and become a model for future office expansions and renovations.
