GSMA is an international organization, representing the interests of the mobile communications industry worldwide. With locations in 8 countries, they chose Atlanta’s Armour Yards for their new North American headquarters - an adaptive reuse warehouse district that appeals to both the traditional workforce and the talented creative class.
GSMA wanted their new space to reflect an organization known for promoting cutting edge technology. To support a vibrant young workforce, the design of the space accommodates a variety of work styles in an environment that clearly communicates the association’s mission and values. The large open work areas are filled with natural light and are punctuated with large graphic murals that reflect the many programs, advocacy initiatives and events produced by GSMA. A large, open, communicating stair connects the two levels, enhancing movement and collaboration within the space.
A hospitality bar greets visitors upon arrival and serves as a focal point for the members’ suite and conference center. Technology is seamlessly integrated throughout, including cutting edge audio visual presentation tools, a room scheduling system that provides access for employees worldwide, and a large monitor wall at the front door that activates the space. A small signature detail is a gourmet coffee maker built into the bar that operates through wireless technology.
